Leeper House The Leeper House is now the National Audubon
Center's headquarters at Mitchell Lake Wetlands. The pages available
through this link include information on moving the house to it's current
location. There is also a photo essay available.
Wildlife
at Mitchell Lake Data on the Fauna and Flora at Mitchell
Lake Wildlife Refuge. Included are: the bird list, the mammalian species
list, the herpetofaunal species list, and the fishes of Mitchell Lake.

to Visit Currently the only access to the public is through

Bird
Banding Report An upland bird study project has been conducted
at Mitchell Lake Wetlands since October of 1994. Mist net capture and
banding of birds is an important element of this study. This link provides
more information on this study including photos and the most recent
annual report.
